ImageSite® combines the best features of traditional document management with internet-based project collaboration. However, unlike a hosted collaboration solution, ImageSite installs on your corporate network so your important engineering files, business documents, e-mail, and other intellectual property are always under your secure control.

Use ImageSite to provide a secure environment to organize, store, version control your documents. As new versions of documents are checked into the system, the previous version is automatically archived with any notes, comments or markups that have been made earlier.

While ImageSite is affordable it is also very comprehensive and can be fully implemented in just a matter of days. ImageSite was designed from the ground up for engineering use. Its web-based design allows all authorized users to access engineering content with only a web browser.

CAD File Management

Use ImageSite for version control of active CAD files as engineers and drafters check-out and revise engineering designs. Use ImageSite Workflow for automated change management to route documents and markups for review and approval. Workflow is a flow chart based, schedule driven capability with automatic notifications.

Document Distribution

ImageSite offers advanced document distribution features to allow you to work together more efficiently. Use e-mail to send compact messages with hot links to the documents you want others to work with. Send e-mail hot-links (URLs) to:

Documents are always secure since they never leave the ImageSite repository. All users must be authorized to access any document, even when using e-mail distribution links.

Stop clogging up your network with emailed CAD file attachments!

Users simply send light weight e-mail messages with hot links (URLs) to documents that they want others to see and use. Clicking on the ImageSite links automatically prompts the user for login/password information.

ImageSite offers extensive activity tracking that provides a complete audit of which users accessed which documents, when, and how. Create and send ImageSite Encapsulations for external users or disconnected end users. Encapsulations are zip-like collections of documents with a self-contained viewer and markup application that runs locally on Windows computers. Automatically upload field markups created remotely from within Encapsulations to their parent files in your ImageSite repository.

Engineering Collaboration

Hold real-time, web-based conferences that allow multiple users to view and markup documents together. All users, documents and actions are recorded in conference minutes of meeting. Read & post news items about departmental or corporate events. News items can include both text and images and website links.

Electronic "sticky notes" to add text notes to documents or to a specific portion of a document.

Create monitors (subscriptions) that notify users (by e-mail) when changes of interest occur.Measure distances and areas on scaled drawings using paper coordinates or real world dimensions.

ImageSite Markups

ImageSite provides a robust, web-based markup capability for easy markup drawing, review and resolution solution for a variety of engineering and design processes.

Use ImageSite's extensive markup drawing pallet for lines, shapes, and text markups, including custom symbol placement.

Create an unlimited number of markup layers, displayed as overlays to documents stored within ImageSite.

Use pre-defined markup categories for convenient use when creating new markups. Each markup category may have a unique set of markup text for pull-down placement.

Dynamic sorting of markups by markup category, markup creator, markup date, markup comments, lock status, and other key information.

Automatic "zoom-to" feature allows users to instantly review each element of a markup within each markup layer. Filter markup display list based upon Active status, Display status, Standard or Other markups. E-mail markup links to one or many markups, driving recipients directly to the markups you want them to see.

Engineering Transmittals

Rather than printing to paper, configure ImageSite to perform electronic document transmittals instead. ImageSite can be configured to process files from the Outbasket, convert and e-mail the resulting PDF to specified users. To further eliminate e-mail attachments, configure ImageSite to post selected files to an ImageSite distribution container with automatic e-mail links that notify users when new documents are available for their review.

Wide Format Batch Plotting

ImageSite is uniquely designed to handle the complex requirements of engineering print production and distribution. Explore and Search for documents; then add them to the ImageSite Outbasket. The Outbasket works like a shopping cart in a commercial website, allowing users to gather documents for transmittal to others or for direct submittal from the ImageSite server to printing devices located down the hall or anywhere around the world on your corporate network.

ImageSite offers direct output drivers to support virtually any wide format plotter on the market, including Xerox, OCE, KIP and HP wide format plotters.

Quickly submit one or hundreds of files for server-side plotting with minimal button clicks. Files print directly from the ImageSite server without the need to download, open and print each one.

Configurable plotting user-interface for direct printing or attended printing (print-room) requests.

Powerful conditional stamping and watermarks to automatically create print overlays based on document attributes such as checkout status, approval status, or digital signatures. Use ImageSite’s robust plot accounting features to report print usage and recover printing supply and equipment costs.

CAD Connector Modules

AutoCAD® Connector

Dynamic reference file detection, upload and database linking. ImageSite automatically reads reference file connections, uploads reference files (x-refs), and links them correctly in the ImageSite repository.

Title Block Integration automatically synchronizes AutoCAD Block/Tag or and Field data with ImageSite search attributes General text data within AutoCAD files is fully search-able using ImageSite’s Full Text Search option. Users perform searches and find AutoCAD files based on general word or phrase searches using this add-on module.

Advanced Modules

Full Text Search

This optional module provides full text searching for words or phrases within Microsoft Office, PDF and text-based files stored in ImageSite. Simply type in the word or phrase from any stored document (including e-mail) and Search.

Workflow

ImageSite Workflow lets you create schedule driven, multi-step flowchart driven workflows to automate your most important business processes. ImageSite Workflow ensures timely document review and approval by routing documents automatically to users.

Domain Security

The Domain Security module automatically creates (and deletes) user and group assignments based on Windows network security settings. Users are automatically logged into ImageSite based on their network security credentials.

Digital Signature

This module creates an encrypted digital signature, stored with the document, that can be used to verify the document's author and to ensure the document contents have not changed since it was signed by that author.

License Information

ImageSite is a server-based solution with no client software to install. ImageSite is licensed by the number of con¬current users in blocks of 5, 10-50 and 100. ImageSite stores documents up to 10,000 times the number of concurrent users licensed.

Raster formats

ImageCenter provides extensive raster editing of binary (black and white) raster file formats, including TIFF G4, CALS Type 1, EDMICS, and TG4. There's full support for even the most complex engineering drawings.

Communicate clearly

Annotate drawings with pop-up notes. Create "hotspots" to quickly move from one part of a drawing to another or to a new drawing. You can also launch other Windows applications from links. For example, use them to attach a document containing engineering specs or a bill of material to a point in your drawing; then view that document by launching your word processor with a quick click on the hotspot.

Easy Cleanup & Batch Process

Despeckle, deskew, rotate, scale, mirror, invert, crop, and stitch raster images. Easily adjust images while scanning or after. Save time with ImageCenter's built-in batch processor. Apply one or more cleanup steps to each drawing in a set of drawings in unattended mode. Set up one or more batch jobs, and then queue them for overnight processing!

Complete editing controls

  • Add TrueType text of any typeface, size, orientation or style

Redlining markups is easy

ImageCenter supports color markup layers for drawing on top of your drawings without actually modifying them until you are ready. Highlight areas in color, and add color text, line art and symbol markups onto your drawings.

  • If desired, burn markups into the drawing to update the raster image.
  • Use markups to tally linear & area totals for 2-D information in your drawings.
  • Read & write the markup data from other Windows applications.
  • Use ortho mode, the snap-to grid, rulers, and default object sizing features to increase the power of all drawing tools.



Plot Station®

In a CAD production plotting environment, PlotStation offers time- and money-saving features. It allows offloading CAD plot processing from individual CAD workstations and centralise batch plotting activities on the network with a dedicated plot server.

It's an open systems batch plotting solution, supporting more printers, plotters, networks and large format engineering document inputs than any other product - the ideal choice in a mixed CAD, mixed plotter environment.

Plot Station® Server's queuing tools allow the administrator (or anyone else with privileges) to move those already submitted files to an alternate device. Queues can be paused or scheduled to run at specific times to maximize performance.

Centralized symbology tables allow the administrator to control the level of drawing standards enforcement. You can maintain consistent-looking output from all your offices. And a single set of configuration files can be used by multiple Plot Station® Servers, allowing load balancing and redundancy.
