With a detachable scanning module, the AV50F sheet-fed scanner is a very neat and nifty device. Dock the module into the base unit and you’ve got a 30-page auto document feed scanner that can handle 15 pages / 30 images per minute in simplex/duplex mode.

Remove the scanning module from the dock and you have a small, lightweight and very portable sheet-fed scanner which can easily go wherever your work takes you. Simply plug it in to your laptop via USB - no power cables required.

Bundled with the scanner are PaperPort and Avision Button Manager - software which let you scan at the touch of a button, and convert papers into digital documents, including searchable PDFs, extremely easily. You can also export the content from your scanned images into Word, Excel, etc. The scanner also comes with ISIS and Twain drivers.
