Book scanners and wide-format scanners
Zeutschel's book scanners make it possible to digitise even the most sensitive materials. Their extremely high processing speed combined with lighting systems that operate without UV radiation protect both the original document and the user. This means that books, maps, and historical writings can be perfectly preserved for future generations.
Ideal for fronts of libraries, Zeutschel’s book copiers offer face-up scanning, eliminating the need to flatten books against a glass plate and preventing spine damage. Connect the scanner to a printer to print copies, or save the scanned pages as JPEGs, PDFs or TIFFs.
Pages can be previewed and corrected, preventing wasted printouts. B&W copies are processed in 1 second; colour copies in 4 seconds.
For those who still prefer to rely on film for long-term preservation, Zeutschel’s archive writers convert digital files to 16mm or 35mm film. JPEG, TIFF and PDF files are converted to film in B&W, greyscale or colour.

No heat, UV and infra-red light generation: Zeutschel's scanners are ideal for scanning fragile, sensitive and historical documents
Reflection from high gloss originals is eliminated as the scanner is back-lit and the light source is well above the document
The OS14000 scanners are the only ones in the world to meet NARA (US National Archives and Records Administration) and Metamorfoze (Europe) standards
64-bit technology and multi-threading enables parallel scanning and image saving
Perfect Book software auto-corrects spine curvature and shadow - there's no need to flatten books against a glass plate
OS12 software offers sophisticated image enhancement, adjustment and correction - in parallel with scanning. It also enables simultaneous capture of metadata (e.g. book title, page numbers, etc.), output as CSV or XML.
